The Kickstarter

Mama Bear had no idea what she was getting herself into. When the game was first inspired, it was an instant obsession. Ideas from the cubs were flowing, designing the art, building the mechanics, and all the little details were just the start of more work than Mama imagined in her head. That wasn't uncommon for her of course, but this was different... this was bigger.

At first it was just game design. Then came the bigger questions, "is this thing any good?" Mama hates marketing. She's a creator first because she loves solving problems. So what happens if it's worth more than just a humble dream dreamt up in a little forest cave? That's still to be determined.

She learned a lot in a year. Before and after almost every work day she was right back to it, making Box of Creeps into something. Mama couldn't do it alone though. Her friends, family, and the strangers of the forest all gave a little something. Each piece made the game more real and every time it made the game a little better. It was a random playtest with friends and family that inspired adding points to the Creeps, which made sense because some Creeps are just creepier than others. The dumpster die was developed alongside calling the discard pile the dumpster, adding more options for game mechanics. Mama's brother had a lot to do with that idea. The cock block was inspired by scrolling through the internet, but it was a friend who gave Mama Bear a resin printed version of the character for Christmas that inspired her to 3D model them herself. Now nearly all the tier rewards for the Kickstarter will be made in house using hobby 3D printers.

The Kickstarter needed more though. So Mama Bea designed a logo keychain, 3 inch cockblock, a creep coin, and for the Creep Master, a special 67 card that comes with a one of a kind handmade 67 trophy!

Stay tuned for more pictures and some chances to win other Box of Creeps models!

It's a lot of work... but it's worth it.

Resin Printing

Mama needs to make 2,250+ of these cute little cock blocks! They start white and will each be hand painted, then protected with a clear coat.

Now it's time to Kickstart it. Mama even made a dumpster card box for the top tier and it's perfect!

A dumpster full of Creeps... let's light it on fire together!

The dumpster tier reward game box has a compartment for the base game and four expansions, the dumpster die, and the trail sign pieces.

Kickstarter is coming soon!
