The Kickstarter

Mama Bear had no idea what she was getting herself into. When the game was first inspired, it was an instant obsession. Ideas from the cubs were flowing, designing the art, building the mechanics, and all the little details were just the start of more work than Mama imagined in her head. That wasn't uncommon for her of course, but this was different... this was bigger.
At first it was just game design. Then came the bigger questions, "is this thing any good?" Mama hates marketing. She's a creator first because she loves solving problems. So what happens if it's worth more than just a humble dream dreamt up in a little forest cave? That's still to be determined.
She learned a lot in a year. Before and after almost every work day she was right back to it, making Box of Creeps into something. Mama couldn't do it alone though. Her friends, family, and the strangers of the forest all gave a little something. Each piece made the game more real and every time it made the game a little better. It was a random playtest with friends and family that inspired adding points to the Creeps, which made sense because some Creeps are just creepier than others. The dumpster die was developed alongside calling the discard pile the dumpster, adding more options for game mechanics. Mama's brother had a lot to do with that idea. The cock block was inspired by scrolling through the internet, but it was a friend who gave Mama Bear a resin printed version of the character for Christmas that inspired her to 3D model them herself. Now nearly all the tier rewards for the Kickstarter will be made in house using hobby 3D printers.
The Kickstarter needed more though. So Mama Bea designed a logo keychain, 3 inch cockblock, a creep coin, and for the Creep Master, a special 67 card that comes with a one of a kind handmade 67 trophy!
Stay tuned for more pictures and some chances to win other Box of Creeps models!
It's a lot of work... but it's worth it.
Resin Printing
Mama needs to make 2,250+ of these cute little cock blocks! They start white and will each be hand painted, then protected with a clear coat.
Now it's time to Kickstart it. Mama even made a dumpster card box for the top tier and it's perfect!
A dumpster full of Creeps... let's light it on fire together!
The dumpster tier reward game box has a compartment for the base game and four expansions, the dumpster die, and the trail sign pieces.
Kickstarter is coming soon!

Let’s Start Ditching Creeps
Some things are worth dumpster diving for!
Creeps are everywhere. In March of 2025 this game was inspired by a not so unique creep who approached our table after a work meeting. We all work in different areas of the state so every once in a great while we get to meet up in person to collaborate on our many projects, and afterwords some of us go out to eat together to catch up on all those non-work related life things. When a couple of us stepped away from the table, a creep who had clearly had one too many drinks graced us with their presence. I’ve read the Reddit stories, but had never experienced anyone welcoming themselves to my table and acting like they were invited. They flirted with all of us. We of course subtly suggested they leave and just when we all thought they did, they pulled up a chair from the bar and took a permanent seat before telling us their name… and that we should look them up. Turns out they had been arrested recently for a sex crime. We asked them why they thought it would be a good idea to ask us to look them up, and they of course acted like it wasn’t a creepy thing to do. So politely we told them we would like to enjoy our time together and they immediately looked like a ton of bricks smacked them in the face. Luckily they left and didn’t bother us again… though they did harass someone else. The kicker, this all occurred in a family restaurant.
As soon as they were out of earshot, I suggested we make a game of it and that’s all we talked about the rest of the night. We couldn’t stop thinking about new ideas and before we knew it, we had about twenty-five of those ideas written in a notebook with a rough idea of what the mechanics would look like. I was obsessed and determined to make the game a reality. So I started writing more card ideas, talked to friends and family, honed in the game mechanics until they started to make sense and boom… Grizzly’s Box of Creeps. No, the game was not based on the social media trend, but it was fitting all things considered. The restaurant had a grizzly theme and the name sorta stuck. Within a month I was drawing the first set of cards and writing out the whole idea in a more legible fashion. It only took six months to have a full play test ready to play with some friends and it was both funny and fun! A few tweaks were needed and a few more will likely be made as it gets closer to production, but it was time to start sharing it and building a community.
During development, I decided there needed to be a purpose in all the laughs. Yes, the game is a joke, but it’s never a bad idea to ditch those creeps in our lives. Community is safety and we are all better when we learn from each other’s experiences, and our collective mistakes. This game isn’t about making fun of creeps, it’s about recognizing bad behavior and growing from them. It’s about staying safe and learning how to be safer people. This is just the beginning, but I hope you will join us in the dumpster where we can make some friends and ditch some creeps together! This blog will be used to post updates, share game development, talk about real world creep ditching strategies, and so much more!
Let’s make this game a reality!
